Learning Environment

St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary school is situated at the end of Gipsy Lane, in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of town. Bracknell and Wokingham College is in close proximity.

Most of St. Joseph’s Primary School is on one level which is built around the school hall. Nursey and Key Stage 1 are at the front of the school and Key Stage 2 is at the back. Our Y5 and Y6 classrooms are the only classes on the first floor which are accessible through both an external and internal staircase. All classrooms have a door leading to the grounds. We also have a purpose built, high quality Creative Room situated in a small memorial garden, Sean’s Garden

In 2017 our new Library and Special Needs Room were completed. We are justly proud of our well stocked library as well as our Computing Suite with its network of computers and ipads. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and laptop.  Audio visual equipment and musical instruments are used throughout the school.

We have refurbished the whole school and have a rolling programme for decoration in place to ensure a high quality learning environment is sustained.

Our extensive grounds provide us with two children’s playgrounds which have a tyre park, dome, pirate ship, adventure trail.

We are fortunate to be able to provide high quality school lunches, which are cooked onsite and served in the main hall.
